Untold Journeys ("we", "us", "our") is a trading name of Eleni Moraiti, a travel operator based in Greece (MHTE 0260Ε70000055800), and operates the website untoldjourneys.gr. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our website, contact us or book a journey with us.
2. What data we collect
We collect the personal data you give us directly, such as your name, email address, phone number and postal address; booking details such as travel preferences, destinations, dates, special requests (for example dietary or accessibility needs) and the details of your travel companions; passport details where a supplier or authority requires them; and anything you send us by email or WhatsApp. When you visit our website, we also collect technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and device information.
3. How we collect it
We collect data directly from you by email, WhatsApp, phone or through our online booking platform; automatically when you use our website; and occasionally from a third party, for example when a travel agent or a member of your group books on your behalf.
4. How we use your data
We use your data to answer your enquiries, to design, book and manage your journey, to communicate with you before, during and after your trip, to provide 24/7 emergency assistance while you travel, to send you marketing communications where you have agreed to receive them, to improve our website and services, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

We process your data on the basis of the contract we enter into with you when you make a booking, or the steps you ask us to take before it; your consent, for marketing communications and non-essential cookies; our legitimate interest in running and improving our website and services; and our legal obligations, including accounting and regulatory record-keeping.
6. Sharing your data
We share your data with the third-party suppliers needed to deliver your journey — such as hotels, lodges and camps, yacht and cruise operators, airlines, ground handlers, guides and insurers — limited to what is needed to fulfil your booking; with service providers who support our business, such as our booking platform and IT providers; and with public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
7. International transfers
Because we arrange journeys worldwide, some of our suppliers and service providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer your data outside the EEA, we take appropriate steps to make sure it remains protected in line with applicable data protection law.

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.
